I stumbled on Jenn Segal's Once Upon a Chef blog more than 5 years ago. I don't remember how I got there. I don't even think Jenn was really on social media back then. But I can't tell you how happy I am that I found her!
Three reasons why I like Jenn's blog and cookbook so much:
1) Super reader friendly and easy to follow directions
2) I love how she gives kick to recipes with spices like smoked paprika and ancho chile powder
3) She doesn't overdo it with ads and clickable content. There's pretty much nothing more annoying that trying to read a recipe and get bogged down with 3rd party ads and pop-ups so you can barely follow. Not the case here.
I've relied on her for countless new recipes. And she definitely deserves credit for turning me into a decent cook. Not a chef..... chef's can create. That's not me. I just follow directions TO A TEE. And, then, things usually turn out ok. I wanted to highlight Jenn here since I so often get asked for the source of my recipes. She will no longer be my 'secret' ..... but I'm excited to share and make sure more of you know her as a great resource and destination. So many of her recipes are just incredibly YUMMY but here are my top five favorites:
Orecchiette with Sausage and Broccoli
Thai Chicken Soup with Rice Noodles
Kale & Brussels Sprout Salad with Walnuts, Parmesan & Lemon-Mustard Dressing
