Black Truffle starts with Plymouth’s raw cow’s milk cheddar, aged for 60 days and infused with real Italian black summer truffles and a touch of white truffle oil. Known in Italy as scorzone, summer truffles have a subtler flavor than their winter counterparts, giving this cheese an earthy richness without overwhelming the cheddar. Mellow, smooth, and savory, it’s an easy addition to a cheese board and especially good with crusty bread, charcuterie, or a glass of wine. Growth hormone free. Made with 100% raw cow's milk. Gluten free.
Plymouth Artisan Cheese has been part of Vermont’s cheesemaking history since 1890, when Col. John Coolidge—father of President Calvin Coolidge—built the Plymouth Cheese Factory on his family farm. More than 135 years later, cheese is still made in the original factory in Plymouth, Vermont, using the original granular-curd cheddar recipe.
