Oh the joy and journey of antiques! Objects that travel miles. That live many lives. That have hidden histories and new stories ahead. Like our Sad iron trivets. Why sad? The word "sad" is an Old English word that means "heavy, dense, and solid." And boy were those babies heavy and dense. Heated in the fire then used to press out wrinkles. And these trivets were both beautiful and decorative and had purpose.
Today, we love them as a collection. Laundry room wall perhaps? Now, the future.... and where to infuse new spaces with iconic vintage decor. The decision is yours. Sold separately.
